Lifewire Licensing Terms of Service
Lifewire Licensing Agreement
This agreement governs the services provided by ThreesAI, Inc. (“Company”) as an authorized representative of Dotdash Meredith, LLC on behalf of Lifewire (“Lifewire”) and you or the entity you represent (“Customer”). The ThreesAI standard Merchant Services Agreement is incorporated into this Agreement by this reference (here). You and the Company agree as follows:
Outline of Services
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Company will license the usage of Lifewire’s intellectual property to Customer. The Customer will only license the Lifewire IP as originally provided by Company, and will not modify or alter the Brand IP without Company’s prior written consent. Customer agrees to the specific terms and conditions that govern a licensing package (as defined below). Specific duration of the license is listed in the invoice and/or product page at the time of purchase and is incorporated into this agreement.
License Rules by Package
Basic Package
License Scope: The Basic License grants the customer the right to use the Lifewire trademark solely on owned media platforms. This includes:
Customer Website: The trademark may be displayed on the customer’s website, including homepage, product pages, and other sections as appropriate.
Organic Social Media Posts: The trademark may be used in non-paid posts on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other similar platforms.
Official Documents: The trademark may be included in official company documents such as annual reports, investor presentations, and press releases.
Email Signatures: The trademark may be used in employee or company-wide email signatures for business communications.
Restrictions: The Basic License does not permit the use of the Lifewire trademark in paid advertising of any kind, nor in any media outside of the owned platforms listed above.
Premium Package
License Scope: In addition to the rights granted under the Basic License, the Premium License allows the customer to use the Lifewire trademark in paid digital advertising. This includes:
Paid Social Media Ads: The trademark may be used in advertisements on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads).
Search Engine Ads: The trademark may be used in paid search ads (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads).
Digital Native Ads: The trademark may be used in sponsored content or native advertising placements online.
SMS/Text Ads: The trademark may be used in marketing messages sent via SMS or text messaging.
Email Marketing: The trademark may be used in promotional emails sent to customers or leads as part of a digital marketing campaign
Restrictions: The Premium License does not permit the use of the Lifewire trademark in print media, out-of-home advertising, or any broadcast ads.
Deluxe Package
License Scope: The Deluxe License includes all rights granted under the Premium License, plus the right to use the Lifewire trademark in the following additional channels:
Print Media Ads: The trademark may be used in printed advertisements in newspapers, magazines, and other print media outlets.
Out of Home Ads: The trademark may be used in out-of-home advertising, including but not limited to billboards, transit ads (buses, trains, etc.), and posters.
Broadcast Ads: The trademark may be used in traditional broadcast media, including television and radio commercials.
OTT, CTV & Streaming Ads: The trademark may be used in advertisements on over-the-top (OTT), connected TV (CTV), and streaming platforms (e.g., Hulu, YouTube, Spotify).
Restrictions: The Deluxe License is the most comprehensive package, with no restrictions beyond those outlined in the general guidelines of the Agreement.
